Growing up in Central Jersey, Carolyn Schulz was not the one in her family who initially showed interest in horses. Her older sister regularly took lessons and showed horses which led to their mother to have Carolyn begin lessons, however her passion for horses never really blossomed until her family moved to Tennessee when she was 11 years old. Since then, she has had numerous horses, but has been with her current mount for nearly three years.
Although her mother grew up on a farm and had horses from time to time, Kacie Farris is the only one in her family to ride and have a passion for equestrian sports. Farris started riding when she was 4 as her family worked on a horse ranch together in Western Washington. She has shown schooling level everything from jumping and dressage, to western pleasure, to equitation, but her heart has always been in training rescue horses. Farris got her first and only horse, Millennium Falcon, or Millie (pictured) when she was 16.
